I currently have the IHG One Rewards Premier card from Chase, but I’ve had repeated fraudulent activity on it even though I rarely use it and keep it locked most of the time.
Because of that, I am considering switching over to Hilton and looking at either the Hilton Surpass or Hilton Aspire card.
For context
My wife and I travel about 2 to 3 times per year, mostly domestic flights or road trips
We visit her family in Japan roughly every other year
I am fairly new to the Hilton ecosystem overall
Both cards seem good on paper, but I am leaning toward the Surpass since the sign up bonus seems easier to achieve.
For people who have experience with Hilton cards, which one would you recommend for this level of travel? Is Aspire worth it, or is Surpass the more practical option for occasional travelers?
