We’ve mostly done all inclusive trips in places like Mexico, Jamaica, and the DR, but the prices are getting hard to justify for two adults and a 6 year old. Starting to look at regular resorts instead, but it feels like a big shift.
For those who’ve made the switch, how do you usually handle getting around for meals and shopping? Do you rent a car, rely on taxis, walk, or just stay near town centers?
We’re looking at places like Aruba, the Bahamas, USVI, Puerto Rico, Turks, Costa Rica, etc. Also curious how realistic these spots are during summer, Christmas, or spring break without spending a fortune.
