Swiss International Air Lines has unveiled its first Airbus A350-900 in a special “Wanderlust” livery at Airbus’ Toulouse facility, celebrating Swiss heritage through over 360 precision-cut film designs featuring national icons like the Matterhorn, Chapel Bridge, marmots, and even Freddie Mercury. This innovative approach replaces traditional paint with sustainable film technology covering 380 m² of the aircraft, highlighting Swiss's commitment to environmental responsibility. The A350-900 is the first of ten fuel-efficient jets joining the fleet, set for delivery later this summer. The debut also includes an augmented reality “Swiss Treasure Hunt” that allows users to interact with the aircraft’s artwork and win a Business Class flight, blending technology, culture, and marketing creativity.
