My family of 16 is flying home from Fort Lauderdale after a Port Everglades cruise. We booked the outbound flights right away, no issues. But the return FLL to MDW on Sunday, March 1 has been absolutely insane.
We can’t take the early flights because of how long customs can take with a big ship. So we grabbed the later ones, even though it was already more than we’ve ever paid, figuring we’d get a price drop later.
But nope. For the last month I’ve checked almost every day and it’s sitting at $700 a person. First two fare tiers aren’t even available. At this point the flight home costs more than the 8-day cruise.
We all have the SW card, we’ve all flown them forever… but I’ve never seen Sunday pricing this wild. Anyone think this will drop, or is this just what March 1 is gonna be?
