I was initially a little frustrated after learning I would need to pay separately for JavaBlue coffee on my Australian cruise despite having the drink package. Since I rarely drink alcohol and consume far more coffee, it did not really make sense to me at first.
On my first morning onboard, I headed to the Lido deck around 3 a.m. hoping I might be able to find some kind of coffee option, although I was not expecting much.
I ended up being pleasantly surprised. Staff members were already there preparing the area, coffee stations were opening, and I discovered dedicated machines available for guests.
The biggest surprise was seeing complimentary espresso options. I ended up being genuinely impressed and actually preferred it more than expected.
I’ve only visited JavaBlue once because the complimentary coffee options have been more than enough so far. I honestly wish similar setups were available on U.S. sailings.
