Surprised by extremely low food prices in a Chinese supermarket

I’m currently inside a large supermarket in China and I’m genuinely surprised by how low the food prices are.

For example, a freshly fried bun costs only about 1 yuan, which is roughly 14 cents. Overall, many everyday food items seem extremely affordable compared to what I’m used to.
