I’ve seen plenty of companies shut down over time, like Sears, Kmart, and Blockbuster. Usually, it’s a gradual process with store closures and downsizing that takes years.
But this situation feels completely different. It seemed like one day Spirit was operating flights as usual, and almost overnight the entire airline and its workforce were gone. The speed of it all is what really stands out.
