Just got off a week on Sun Princess (Eastern Caribbean). We were in a Cabana Mini Suite on Deck 9 with direct Cabana access.
Before boarding, someone who had just finished their week told us, “I’m never sailing this convoluted piece of crap again.” Not exactly reassuring.
Happy to say that wasn’t our experience at all.
We never struggled for tables at restaurants or the buffet. Lido deck spots like pizza, tacos, burgers were solid and rarely busy. Elevators on this class are a huge improvement. No waiting forever or cramming in.
The Cabana deck was the real highlight. It felt almost private. Plenty of loungers, easy hot tub access, super quiet. Honestly felt like Sanctuary without paying extra.
Shows weren’t an issue either, which surprised me given the arena size.
The Dome is the one miss for me. Cool space, just way too small. If you’re not there early, forget it.
Food in MDR and buffet maybe a small step down from years ago, but with all the casual options we didn’t care. Room service was fast every night.
Overall? I’d sail Sphere Class again without hesitation.
