Planning a family trip to Spain at the end of July (July 27–Aug 5). We have about 392,313 Venture X points plus the $300 travel credit.
This is our first time using points for international travel, so I’m trying to figure out the best way to maximize value.
Our current plan is LAX to Madrid, but I’m open to alternative routing if it improves redemption value or availability.
I’ve seen suggestions ranging from transferring points to airline partners to booking directly through the Capital One travel portal and using the purchase eraser feature, but I’m not sure what would be optimal in our case.
Any advice on how to best structure this redemption for two adults and a 2-year-old would be really appreciated.
