Stuck in a loop with SAS over a PIR number for damaged luggage

Flew with SAS and my suitcase came out damaged and basically unusable. I took photos at the airport but didn’t realize I had to file a PIR there before leaving. Once I got home, I submitted the damaged baggage report online.


Now SAS replied saying they can only handle the claim if I provide a PIR number, and that I should file the same online report to get one. Problem is, I already filed it, and it never gave me a PIR number. I can’t resubmit the same report, so I’m stuck going in circles.


Has anyone dealt with this before or figured out how to actually get a PIR after leaving the airport?
