We ended up living in Changi Terminal 2 for more than 60 hours with our one year old after flying Sydney to Singapore to connect to Tiruchirappalli. The first flight was fine. Everything after that turned into rolling two hour delays with no real info. No IndiGo staff in transit, no hotel, no meals. We paid for a lounge just to keep our sanity.
Every shift change meant starting the story over. Names taken, no handover, new staff acting like it was all brand new. Flights offered, then cancelled. We literally slept on the floor. Only reason we survived it was because Changi is such a solid airport.
We eventually got squeezed onto a Chennai flight and made it onward to TRZ, but it took days. Looking back, the ground staff did what they could with terrible info, but IndiGo gave us nothing to work with the whole time.
If you’re connecting with IndiGo and anything goes wrong, be ready to fend for yourself. Thank god it was Changi and not somewhere else.
