I run a few tours in Florida, mainly around Miami and the Keys. Summer is usually my busiest season, but this year I have been struggling to attract international tourists.
Florida normally gets a steady flow of visitors from different countries, and in past years I would see a good mix of international bookings during this period. However, this year most of my customers are local, and I am not seeing the same level of overseas interest.
I have started thinking about ways to adjust, such as offering more tailored tour packages based on different interests or translating my listings into multiple languages. I have already tried a few small changes, but nothing has made a significant difference so far.
Has anyone else in the tourism or tour guide space experienced a drop in international bookings? What strategies actually helped you reach more international travelers?
