Stormy Skies and Sticky Heat in New Jersey

I’m in New Jersey this week, and Wednesday has been a scorcher mid-80s to low 90s, but with humidity so thick it feels like the upper 90s. I was exploring a small downtown when the sky suddenly shifted from bright blue to that ominous gray-green. Within minutes, the first rumble of thunder rolled in, and I knew the afternoon storms the forecast warned about had arrived.

The rain came in sheets, heavy enough to blur the street signs, and I had to duck into a café to wait it out. Locals said storms like this pop up fast in August, especially with all the moisture in the air. The forecast says we might get more scattered showers tomorrow before it clears up by Friday. Have you ever had your travel plans suddenly flipped by summer storms?
