Still don’t get where BRT actually makes sense

Every time I ride a BRT, I can’t help thinking a tram or light rail would be faster and way more comfortable. Once you’re running three articulated buses seconds apart, isn’t it time to just build a rail line?

I get that BRT is cheaper to start, but beyond that, what’s the real long-term advantage?
