I stayed at Amanoi in Vietnam for four nights, and the experience fully lived up to the Aman reputation.
I stayed in a villa with an ocean view, and the property was stunning. Housekeeping was exceptional and somehow managed to service the room multiple times a day without ever being noticeable.
The service throughout the resort was warm, intuitive, and highly personal. Staff remembered small details like my drink preferences even though I never explicitly mentioned them.
Overall, the food was solid. Breakfast and lunch were the highlights, especially the passion fruit juice, which stood out. Dinner felt a bit repetitive, but the staff were always willing to accommodate off-menu requests. The bar was quiet, as expected, but the cocktails were well made and the bartenders were great to talk to.
I spent a lot of time at the spa, which I really enjoyed, although I was surprised that the hydrotherapy room was not included. The resort is quite spread out, so I mostly walked, though buggies were available most of the time. I did have one frustrating 20-minute wait after a spa treatment.
