Stay vanishes overnight. Wrong email on file. Honors number changed. No folio at checkout. That’s a lot of red flags all at once. Even if it ended up being incompetence instead of fraud, I’d be annoyed.
Glad you called back and got a rep who actually looked at it properly. That’s the key with Hilton sometimes. First agent reads the script, second agent actually fixes it.
The similar name mix up makes sense, but it’s still wild that your honors number got swapped and nobody at the property caught it. Especially with digital key and app check in involved.
At least the points are back and a fraud case is noted just in case. I’d probably keep an eye on your account for a while and maybe change your password too, just for peace of mind.
