Had a slightly awkward situation on a Delta flight today. I boarded pretty late and took my Comfort+ seat, and the passenger next to me was clearly a passenger of size. Nice person, even apologized, but they were well into my seat space.
Ended up basically using about a third of my seat and sitting kind of twisted so I wasn’t leaning into the aisle. Luckily it was only about an hour flight, but my back is still feeling it.
I asked the FA during a lav break what the policy is for something like that and she said there’s not much they can do once everyone is onboard, especially on a full flight.
Made me wonder what the actual move is in that situation. Do you just deal with it? Ask the FA to intervene? Or get off and try for another flight?
Curious what others would do.
