Spirit canceled my $183 trip and now it’s $570 for basically the same flight

I’d be so annoyed.

Booked a round trip for $183. Solid deal. Then they cancel it. Fine, stuff happens. But when I go check, it’s basically the same once a day route, just new flight numbers and slightly different times… and now the lowest round trip is $570.

That’s not even close.

At that point Delta is cheaper once you factor in bags and seats. When Spirit costs more than Delta all in, something is off.

I actually want Spirit to succeed because competition is good. But if they’re pricing like this after cancellations, people are just going to book legacy and move on
