Spirit Airlines has reportedly ceased operations, and in court proceedings a company lawyer issued an apology to passengers who relied on the airline for low-cost travel.
The statement specifically acknowledged that many customers depended on Spirit because they might otherwise be priced out of air travel, and expressed regret to those travelers affected by the shutdown.
