Spirit Airlines alcohol policy feels inconsistent across flights

Just had an interesting experience in Spirit's Big Front Seat (row 2D) MCO-LGA where the flight attendant seemed hyper-vigilant about drink counts. While I appreciate maintaining order in the cabin, I noticed vastly different enforcement between my outbound and return flights. On the outbound, they cut someone off after just two drinks, while the return crew seemed much more relaxed about serving multiple rounds. As someone who regularly flies international business class where champagne flows freely, this inconsistency in service standards is frustrating.

For context, most U.S. airlines don't actually have published drink limits - it's at crew discretion based on passenger behavior. Having logged over 200K miles last year primarily in premium cabins (mostly United Polaris and BA Club World), I've found international carriers tend to be more accommodating with alcohol service, especially in business/first. Spirit's approach feels unnecessarily rigid, particularly when you're paying extra for their premium seats. My suggestion? If you're planning to enjoy a drink onboard Spirit, pace yourself and stay clearly under the radar - crew interpretation varies wildly.
