Southwest hiding the basic Choice fare even though seats are open?

Looking at a Southwest flight for late February and something feels off. Seat map shows around 35 standard seats still available, but the only fares offered are Choice Preferred or Choice Extra. No regular Choice fare at all.

Feels like a forced upsell. I don’t need early boarding, I’m bringing just a backpack, short flight, don’t care where I sit or boarding late. There’s literally zero value for me in the higher tiers.

Do they usually open the regular Choice fare back up later if those seats don’t sell, or is this just how they’re playing it now? Curious if anyone’s seen this reverse closer to departure.
