Saw this and it would have stressed me out too.
Person got an email offering a credit if they switched flights. Ignored it. A few hours later, another email saying “thanks for changing your flight” with a $20 voucher. Flight moved from Friday evening to Thursday at 7am.
They called and support insisted the system showed they clicked through multiple confirmation screens. To switch back was going to cost $300 more. After escalating, Southwest did move it back but framed it as a “one time courtesy” and basically warned them not to “make the mistake again.”
That part would annoy me the most. If this was some kind of glitch tied to the new change offer, don’t blame the customer.
I’d be double checking every reservation after getting one of those promo emails.
