This is such a Southwest moment. Boarding passes show up fine, saved to Apple Wallet, then suddenly the app says you have to go to a kiosk or agent. Instant stress for no real reason.
Exit row makes total sense. They just needed to do the verbal safety check, and once that was done, everything magically worked again. Glad OP updated it because this probably freaks out a lot of people when it happens.
Moral of the story: if Southwest randomly takes your boarding pass away, it’s usually something dumb and fixable, not an actual problem.
