Southern Minnesota Is Soaked, Flash Flooding After 3–5 Inches of Rain

We got slammed overnight. Some areas like Janesville picked up nearly 5 inches of rain, and Mankato's not far behind. Warnings are flying for flash floods all over the southern part of the state. It’s the kind of rain where you check your basement every 20 minutes.


And it’s not over. Forecasts are calling for more rain through Sunday night into Monday plus gusty winds. If you’re in the area, avoid low-lying roads. It’s getting real out here.


Looks like we’ll get a dry spell by Tuesday, but until then stay safe and stay dry, Minnesota.
