Reading this honestly made my stomach drop. Someone violently trying your door at 1:18am is not a minor issue, especially at a so called luxury resort and especially as a solo female guest.
What I would expect, minimum: security sent immediately, a follow up call to make sure you are safe, and an offer to move rooms or have security stationed nearby. Ideally they also document it properly and review cameras. This should not be brushed off as noise or a misunderstanding.
The fact that you had to deadbolt and scare the guy off yourself is already bad. The disappointing response after is worse. Five-star pricing should come with basic safety standards, not just nice pools and cocktails.
I would absolutely escalate this in writing to management and corporate once you check out. Not in an emotional way, just very factual. Time, what happened, what response you got, and what you expected. This is the kind of thing resorts should take seriously or they will never fix it.
Glad you are safe, but yeah, that is not acceptable.
