Someone threw up in the sink… why?

On a flight to SFO right now and apparently someone vomited in the lav sink. The toilet is literally right there.

The person in front of me told me about it but didn’t say anything to a flight attendant, which is wild to me. Why not just let the crew know so they can deal with it?

I get that people get sick, turbulence happens, whatever. But the sink?

Flying never disappoints.
