While visiting Disney California Adventure on June 2 around 9 p.m., I was in line for Radiator Springs Racers after waiting nearly two hours. Just as it was our turn to board, the attraction suddenly shut down with no estimated reopening time.
According to a cast member who appeared exhausted from dealing with the situation, a guest reportedly exited their ride vehicle during the attraction. Thankfully, nobody was injured. Based on what we heard, it likely happened in the indoor section of the ride.
After such a long wait, it was frustrating for everyone in line, and it seemed unlikely that the attraction would reopen before the park closed for the night.
