I’ve been thinking about why I end up traveling solo more often than I originally planned. It’s not that I always prefer it. Sometimes I genuinely want to travel with other people.
But every time I try to organise a group trip, it falls apart before it even starts. At one point I literally went to Brazil alone because I couldn’t deal with coordinating friends anymore.
What’s weird is this:
A solo trip takes me about 20 minutes to book.
A group trip takes four months of back and forth and still never happens.
I’m starting to wonder if solo travel is sometimes less of a preference and more of a default. It’s what happens when group coordination fails.
Does anyone else feel this way? And has anyone found a reliable way to actually get a group trip off the ground without it taking over your entire life?
