I used to always bring people with me on cruises and even pay for them just so I wouldn’t have to travel alone. I’m currently going through a separation, and in March I finally went on a cruise solo.
It turned out to be an amazing experience.
I recently booked another solo cruise for October 31 with Carnival Cruise Line and noticed how much cheaper everything is when it’s just one person, especially things like drink packages. It made me realize how much I used to overpay just to avoid going alone.
Looking back, I probably spent a lot more money over the years just to avoid solo travel anxiety.
Honestly, I only really felt alone at dinner in the main dining room, but even then you can request to be seated with others through the app.
If you are thinking about doing a solo cruise, just go for it. It’s completely worth it.
