Just returned from my cruise on MS Nieuw Statendam. I had the soft drink package, but found it quite restrictive in practice.
The package only allows sodas served in a glass with ice. Many of the smaller bars offer canned soda, but those venues aren’t accessible with the package. At Lido, this also meant having to go to the aft smoking area and waiting in line just to get a small glass with ice.
Overall, access to drinks felt limited and inconvenient compared to what I expected from the package.
