Sneak Peek: Norwegian Cruise Line’s Private Island is Becoming a Water Wonderland

Just read about Norwegian Cruise Line’s upgrades to Great Stirrup Cay, and wow, it’s going full resort mode. They’re adding a six-acre waterpark Great Tides with 170-foot towers, 19 waterslides, and cliff jumps yep, a cruise-first 15-footer!. There’s even an 800-foot turbo-lazy river and a secret cave bar under the family slide. Kinda wild, right?

Plus, there’s a new heated pool with cabanas, mini golf, pickleball courts, and a hammock garden for mid-day siestas. It’s giving beach club meets theme park. I’ve always liked private island stops, but this feels like a game changer. Anyone been to Great Stirrup Cay before the upgrade? Would you spend the day sliding or napping?
