I fly a lot out of a small airport, mostly on 175s, and get upgraded to first about half the time. Snacks up front are usually just okay honestly, I’d rather have a snack box, but FAs rarely offer to grab one.
Yesterday on my OKC–IAH flight, the FA (Ricole) came by with the snack basket and said, “Thank you for being a 1K would you like a snack box instead?” I didn’t even want anything, but just being offered without asking made my whole flight better.
She didn’t serve me anything but a smile and genuine kindness, and that made all the difference. I’ll definitely be writing in to let United know it’s those little things that stick with you.
