Sleeping in a roomette vs bedroom

Something I never thought about before riding Amtrak sleepers: in a roomette the bed runs with the rails, but in a bedroom it’s sideways. I actually found the sideways setup way less comfortable, kept rolling every time the train braked. In the roomette it just felt more natural, like rocking.
