I have a trip booked later this year that ends with Istanbul → Dubai → Melbourne, with the Dubai–Melbourne flight connecting through Singapore (3.5-hour layover).
Because of everything going on right now, I’m considering skipping Istanbul and Dubai entirely and flying to Singapore about a week earlier on a separate ticket.
My question is: would I still be able to board the Singapore → Melbourne leg of the existing ticket? Or would the airline mark me as a no-show in Dubai and cancel the entire itinerary, including the second flight?
This is with Singapore Airlines, though the ticket was booked through Virgin.
I’m assuming I’d probably need to change the booking, but I wanted to check in case anyone has dealt with something similar.
