My May 13th flight on SK984 from Tokyo Haneda to Copenhagen definitely did not go as planned. Instead of taking the normal route, the aircraft headed in the opposite direction, made a stop in Ankara for refueling, and even had a pilot change along the way.
Safe to say, it was quite a surprise after simply checking out of my hotel expecting a standard long-haul flight.
If you look up the flight history on FlightRadar, you’ll see how unusual the route was. It ended up being a seriously long trip… exhausting, to say the least.
