Sitting next to a paraplegic passenger, how would you want me to handle it?

I fly Delta a lot and I’m paralyzed, so they usually seat me on the aisle to make transfers easier. It works fine for me, but I know it can be awkward for people sitting next to me since they have to step over when using the restroom or deplaning.

Would you rather I ask to swap for the window seat, or are you okay stepping over me? I always let people know I can’t stand, but I worry it might make them uncomfortable. I also have to deplane last, so seatmates usually wait a bit longer too.
