Helping my mum book SIN to SFO and she’s set on Singapore Airlines for comfort, but it’s coming out to around $3k in economy.
Meanwhile EVA is about $1k and Starlux around $1.2k with a layover, which is a huge difference.
I get that SIA is great, but not sure it’s that much better to justify paying 2–3x more, especially when EVA and Starlux are both solid.
Curious if anyone’s done this route and felt SIA was actually worth the premium, or if the layover options are the smarter move.
