Yesterday at Baltimore/Washington International Airport was incredibly chaotic. I arrived about 4.5 hours early after seeing how bad things were on the news, but still ended up waiting outside in freezing temperatures before even getting inside. Security alone took nearly three hours, and I reached the gate just as boarding closed, missing the flight.
While waiting at gate B12 to be rebooked, one of the attendants really stood out. Despite dealing with a long line of frustrated passengers, she stayed calm, professional, and even used humor to ease the tension. At one point, she had to step away briefly because she hadn’t had a break all shift, but she came back quickly and got right back to helping everyone.
When it was my turn, she worked efficiently across systems and calls to secure seats on new flights, and it was clear she was putting in the same effort for everyone in line. After a long and stressful day, she was the first moment that felt like things might actually work out.
Really grateful for how she handled everything in such a difficult situation.
