I currently have an upgrade offer from Delta to move from Comfort+ to Premium Select on an ATL–MAD flight departing in 12 days. The offer is priced at 39,900 miles per person (or $839 cash equivalent).
The upgrade would include a more spacious seat, additional legroom, increased recline with a footrest, plus Sky Priority benefits such as check-in and security access where available.
My main question is whether this is likely to improve if I wait closer to departure, or if this is already a reasonable price point in the current pricing environment.
I’m trying to decide whether to lock it in now or hold out in case the mileage or cash offer drops in the final days before the flight.
