Booked BCN to Shenzhen to HCMC with Shenzhen Airlines.
Both me and my partner have first name + middle name + two surnames. The booking form wouldn’t allow spaces in either the first or last name fields. It literally says “name must match your identity document” but then doesn’t let you input it properly.
We ended up putting first name + first surname only, since there was no way to fit everything.
Now I’m reading that some Asian airlines can be strict about exact name matches and I’m getting a bit nervous.
Has anyone flown Shenzhen with two surnames and shortened it like this? Did it cause issues at check in?
