Just did a BKK–SZX–SJW roundtrip on Shenzhen Airlines and honestly got more recognition for my UA 1K status there than I’ve had all year flying United.
FAs greeted me personally before takeoff, mentioned my status, gave flight/arrival details, and even checked in mid-flight after the meal. Same treatment on both the international and domestic legs.
Kinda wild that another Star Alliance partner made me feel way more valued than the airline I actually earn the status with.
