Didn’t realize how big SFO to Taipei has gotten until seeing this. Wild that it’s now the busiest US to Asia route and somehow the 4th busiest US international route overall.
What really surprised me is United actually growing passengers here even while capacity exploded and load factors softened. Says a lot about how strong SFO is as a hub and how sticky that traffic is for them.
Also interesting contrast with LAX to ICN and LAX to TPE being basically foreign carrier territory. Feels like SFO and LAX are playing totally different Asia games.
Curious if this keeps up or if capacity eventually cools off.
