Severe allergic reaction mid-flight, incredibly grateful to United Airlines crew and passengers

I wanted to share an experience from a recent flight that could have ended very differently.

During the flight, I experienced a severe episode of anaphylaxis and required urgent medical attention. Thanks to the quick response and care from multiple flight attendants, along with assistance from passengers who helped provide medical and emotional support, the situation was stabilized until we landed.

Upon arrival, emergency medical personnel were already waiting at the gate and immediately took over care. I was transported to the hospital by ambulance and admitted overnight. I’m now recovering and improving.

I truly cannot express enough gratitude to the crew members and responders involved. Their fast actions and professionalism made a critical difference, and likely saved my life.

Has anyone else witnessed or experienced medical emergencies during flights? I’d also appreciate any insight into how airlines typically handle these situations behind the scenes.
