My boyfriend attended a Wizz Air cabin crew recruitment day on February 27. He successfully passed all interview stages, and by the end only three candidates remained out of around 15.
Two days later, he received an email confirming that he was selected and that he should wait for another email with training details for the Bucharest base. Another candidate from his group was also selected.
However, both of them are still waiting for the training details email, and it has now been several months.
At the end of the interview, the recruiters seemed very positive about his performance. He also holds a flight attendant certification recognized in the EU, and they asked if he would be available to start around May 20. Despite this, Wizz Air has continued running recruitment days regularly since then.
My questions:
Is it normal for Wizz Air to delay training invitations for this long after selection?
Has anyone experienced being selected but waiting months for a training start date?
Is there a chance they ultimately do not proceed even after sending a selection email?
How does their recruitment and onboarding process usually work from selection to training?
Any insights or personal experiences would be really helpful.
