The new Concourse C extension at Seattle–Tacoma International Airport has officially opened. Unfortunately, I had a flight booked for today months in advance, so I missed seeing it on a less busy day.
It appears that part of the upper level, and possibly other sections, are designated for a future Alaska Lounge. Reports suggest the lounge will be very large, potentially over 41,000 square feet with around 700 seats across two levels, which would make it one of the largest airline lounges in the United States.
If accurate, it would exceed other major lounges such as Delta’s at JFK and United’s at Denver. For comparison, the current Alaska Lounge N is significantly smaller at around 15,800 square feet.
Based on available information, the main level is expected to serve general Alaska Lounge members, day-pass holders, and eligible first class passengers. The upper level may be reserved for long-haul international travelers and higher-tier elite members such as Atmos Titanium.
