This is my first time flying SAS. I booked a solo ticket and am currently bidding for a business class upgrade on a transatlantic flight from Canada to Europe.
Now that live bidding has started, I can see that my bid is ranked second. The highest bid is almost double my offer per person, although it does not show how many passengers are bidding at that amount.
From the seat map, the flight does not look full, and there appear to be about four remaining seats in premium and business class.
I am wondering how SAS typically handles these upgrade auctions. Does being second in the bidding usually give a reasonable chance of success, or is it mostly unpredictable?
