Seat credits showed up after I already paid for the upgrade… seriously?

Booked seats months ago, then paid to upgrade about a month back with no mention of any credit.

Just checked again and now it suddenly shows a seat credit for Extra Comfort on the same flight.

Problem is… I already upgraded and there’s nothing left to use it on unless I go for first class.

Feels pretty frustrating to see a credit pop up after the fact like that. Anyone had luck getting that refunded or applied somehow?
