Used Virgin Atlantic miles (via Amex transfer) to book Delta One suites JFK–CDG, just 50k points per person vs Delta’s 320k SkyMiles ask. Total game-changer for a family of five.

We rotate Amex Plat, Chase Sapphire Reserve, Venture X, and Citi Premier, stacking signup bonuses and catching transfer promos (Virgin just had a 40% bonus that saved us 140k points). Priority Pass food credits at LGA even knocked $400+ off meals last month.

Only flop so far: Venture X hotel portal always $40–70 more per night vs booking direct.
