While waiting to board a long haul United flight to Rome, I saw a passenger suddenly vomit pretty badly right near the gate area. Boarding was supposed to start in about an hour, so it definitely caught my attention.
Was debating whether to say something to the crew or just mind my own business, since the idea of sitting near someone sick for 9 hours isn’t exactly appealing.
Ended up mentioning it to the gate agent before boarding. They said they’d talk to the passenger, and later told me the guy said he was fine.
So far on the flight there hasn’t been any smell or issues, so hopefully it was just a one time thing.
