Saved $5k on Rome trip with credit card points

Last summer I pulled off a dream trip to Rome for my family of four almost entirely on points. Between sign-up bonuses and using the right cards for dining/travel, I saved over $5,000. Felt unreal booking flights and hotels that would’ve been way out of budget otherwise.

Best move was stacking a big sign-up bonus with my Chase Sapphire Reserve spend, then transferring to airline partners. Hotel points in shoulder season stretched even further. Planning ahead really paid off.
